I tried cooking Filipino dish the other day; Kare-kare is one of my favorite Filipino dish. When I went home in the Philippines last June, I bought several Filipino spices such as Instant Kare-kare Recipe Mix, so I decided cooking Kare-kare for our dinner even I am not sure if my husband will gonna like it.
Cooking Kare-kare is easy, as long as you have all the ingredients you can make it. In my recipe I use the " Cook -It- Easy! Recipe for Kare-kare", which I bought from my home country. That Kare-kare Recipe mix is so easy and so economical , and it was really the taste of authentic Kare-kare. I hope I can still find that Kare-kare Recipe Mix here in MI.
Above photos are the cooked Kare-kare I did, I served it with "Plain rice" and "Bagoong" , in English we called it "Saute Shrimp Paste", I bought that bagoong from Filipino store.....My husband doesn`t like it, don`t know why , while we are eating I was teasing here try tasting the Bagoong, but he never dare tasting it. Oh well, I enjoyed my dinner!
