Cooking was not in my mind before I came here in the US. Whenever there is ocassion in our family like for example Christmas and New Year my sibling were the one in-charged in cooking .I was just a kitchen helper to my sister and brother while they were cooking in the house. I do chopping, washing dishes and do tasting of the food they were cooking.
I never imagine that I can cook by myself here in US.Well, that`s it! I have to learn cooking so I can feed my husband with home made food . When I was not here yet. I knew he always ate in the fastfood most of the time if he was so tired from work. In my first 2 weeks here he always do the cooking because I have to learn first how he cooked his food. I have to do it so I won`t be bored. I sometimes have trial and error cooking some stuff but now I must say that I have learn a lot little by little. My husband always appreciate my recipe hahaha!!! even though for me it`s not taste good. I don`t usually follow all the recipes in the cook book.It gives me idea what to cook but I modify some of the ingredients according to my taste. Good thing my husband like it...Hmmm, yummy!!
