How you plan your Wedding if you`re engaged?

Recalling our wedding plans inspired me to write this blog to help engaged couple on how they will plan their marriage ahead of time.

These are the things you need to consider:

1. Set the date of your wedding.
2. Compromise what kind of wedding you will be having. Consider the religion and decide which church the ceremony will takes place. You can decide wether you will have Church wedding or Court wedding. It depends on your religious orientation. Apply for Marriage license in your state or county.
3. Consider the budget or expenses and set where would be the reception
4. Go to Parish Office /Court to have your wedding date.
5. If Catholic Church: Some churches in the state will require you to attend seminars for engage couple, such as " Wedding is a Decision" or the equivalent seminar in each parish; couple will undergo "Marriage Counselling" and "Natural Family Planning". Asks the parish secretary who will be your wedding coordinator for the ceremony/mass. Talk to the choir and choose your sets of music in your wedding. Set appointment for the Wedding Rehearsal. * In Court Wedding you can just contact your Fiscal.Judge , there is no need for seminars for Court Wedding.
6. Contact wedding planner and discuss your bridal entourage. Simple Catholic wedding needs not to have their over all entourage. Having a Maid of Honor and Best man, and a pair of flower girl and ring bearer is good enough. But of course you can have your full bridal entourage if you choose to do so. Complete the lists of the bridal entourage first before printing invitations .If you have it all , you can start printing invitations and dispose it, don`t forget to attach the reply slip, so you will know how many persons will be attending your wedding. You can choose if you will be making your own invitations or you can have somebody do it for you. It is just to estimate how much food you need to prepare for the guests so the caterer won`t have hard time for food prepation.If you don`t have wedding planner, you can do it by yourself, just lists everying you needed for the wedding from big details to small details such as buttoniere, cake ,motif, flowers, etc. You and your fiance can seat together and talk about everything about wedding details.If you can`t plan it personally because of job locations and time. You can plan it together online.
7. Arrange the Reception/location.
8. Consider your Wedding Dress and your fiance`s Tuxedo.Be sure your wedding dress and your wedding ring will fit you. You have to decide too who will pay the dress of your Maid of Honor, Best Man, Bridesmaid, ring bearer. If engage couple can provide it for free it would be better, whereas if you can`t do it, let them inform beforehand that they should provide their own dress. Usually in U.S Wedding they provide their own dress and tuxedo.
9. Contact and set an appointment for your Photographers, Videographer and Hair stylists. In some salon, you can have your trial but have to pay for it. Consider your dress, shape of your face in choosing your hair style. If you can`t decide, you can browse online about hair style that will fit on your wedding day. Don`t forget to plan your honeymoon.
10. Check your lists if everything is set and ready for the wedding to avoid problems in the actual wedding day.
11. Usually Wedding Rehearsal takes place a day before the Wedding Day. Beauty rest after and don`t be nervous. Wake up early on the day of the wedding for your Hair style and make-up,etc. Don`t forget to put decorations for your Bridal Car.
12. On the actual day. Be happy this your especial day.You and your fiance will now be united in Faith and in love.
